How to delete your Spotlight account

You can delete your Spotlight account at any time by following these steps:

1. Open the Spotlight app on your device
2. Sign in to your account
3. Tap the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen
4. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page
5. Tap Delete Account (shown in red)
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm deletion

What happens when you delete your account

When you delete your Spotlight account, the following data is permanently removed within minutes:

• Your profile information (name, age, country, region, sport, bio)
• Your uploaded photos and videos
• Your social media handles and stats (if provided)
• Your authentication credentials
• Your saved athletes list (for recruiters)
• Your contact history
• Any reports you have filed

Data we may retain

We may retain limited records of your account deletion (the fact that the account was deleted, and when) for legal and operational purposes. We may also retain anonymized log data for security and fraud prevention.

If we are required by law to retain your information longer (such as a legal hold), we will do so only to the extent necessary.

If you cannot access the app or need assistance with deletion, contact us at support@spotlightrecruit.com.

We will process your deletion request within 7 business days of receipt.

For parents of minor users

If you are the parent or guardian of a Spotlight user under 18 and want their account deleted, email legal@spotlightrecruit.com with:

• The minor's email address used for their Spotlight account
• Your relationship to the minor
• A request for deletion

We will process verified parental deletion requests within 7 business days.
